Not only do teachers at Grundy Center Elementary work hard while kids are here, they also take time from their own personal lives to learn about ways to make their classrooms the BEST they can be.
On Saturday, September 26, many elementary teachers from Grundy Center, Aplington-Parkersburg, Gladbrook-Reinbeck, and Dike-New Hartford (Cedar Valley West schools) will gather in the Grundy Center Elementary multi-purpose room for what promises to be an amazing workshop to learn more about children's literature.
We have the incredibly inspiring and nationally recognized speaker of children's books, Mr. John Schumacher, coming to share his wisdom about practical and innovative ways to get students excited about reading, booktalking, connecting with authors, and technology! In between talks, the Cedar Valley West teachers will collaborate and share ideas about literacy in elementary schools.
We are still seeking a few more sponsors for this event. If you know of an individual or business who would like to donate to help us fund this excellent experience, please email me at [email protected] or call 319-825-5461.
